The safety valve must be installed at the outlet of economizer and the outlet of steam superheater.

(2) the safety valve shall be installed vertically in the highest position of the pan and header. There shall be no outlet pipe and valve for the steam collection between the safety valve and the drum or header.

(3) lever type safety valve should have the device to prevent the movement of the hammer and the guide frame to limit the lever deviation. The spring type safety valve should have the device for lifting the handle and preventing the screw from screwing the screw.

(4) for rated steam pressure less than or equal to 3.82MPa boiler, the safety valve throat diameter should not be less than 25mm: for rated steam pressure greater than 3.82MPa of the boiler, the safety valve throat diameter should not be less than 20mm.

(5) the connecting area of the safety valve and the boiler shall not be less than the sectional area of the inlet of the safety valve. If several safety valves are mounted together on a short tube directly connected to the boiler barrel, the cross-sectional area of the short tube should not be 1.25 times as large as the exhaust area of all the safety valves.

(6) the safety valve should normally be installed in exhaust pipe, exhaust pipe should be through a safe place, and with sufficient cross-sectional area to ensure that the exhaust flow. The bottom of the vent pipe of the safety valve shall be fitted with a drain pipe connected to the safe place, and valves are not allowed to be installed on the exhaust pipe and drain pipe.
